On 28th May 2026, Issei Sasaki (M2) , Maeda Lab, Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems, received ISPSD 2026 Charitat Young Researcher Award.




ISPSD 2026 Charitat Young Researcher Award
The ISPSD Charitat Young Researcher Award is the most prestigious award presented to the best presentation by a young researcher under the age of 30 who has given an oral presentation at the IEEE International Symposium on Power Semiconductor Devices and ICs (ISPSD).
About awarded research
Issei Sasaki, a second-year master's student in Professor Takuya Maeda's laboratory at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems (EEIS), The University of Tokyo, was honored with the ISPSD 2026 Charitat Young Researcher Award at the 38th International Symposium on Power Semiconductor Devices and ICs (ISPSD) held in Las Vegas, USA, from May 24 to 28, 2026. He received this prestigious award for his oral presentation titled "Extremely Low on-Resistance AlN-based SBDs with Distributed Polarization Doping Drift Layer."
