Observation of the decommissioned site of the "Yayoi" research reactor, Nuclear Professional School, School of Engineering

On 27 June 2023, Dean Kato visited the decommissioned site of the "Yayoi" research reactor, Nuclear Professional School, School of Engineering (in Tokai Village, Ibaraki Prefecture), and attended the maintenance management review of the facility conducted by President Fujii of the University of Tokyo.   At the observation site, the technical staff explained the achievements to date, plans, and Dean Kato made concrete suggestions within his capacity as assistant to the President on how to share the information with local staff.  At the exchange of views meeting, he discussed with the President, faculty members, and staff of NPS the educational research aimed at achieving GX and the way in which the facilities are used.
