Prospective Students
The School of Engineering has approximately 1,500 international students and 300 foreign researchers studying with 2,500 Japanese graduate students. On a bilingual campus based on English and Japanese, we aim to foster individuals who will lead innovation in an increasingly global society based on the key concept of diversity, and to offer an environment conducive to studying and learning the whole spectrum of science and technology.

For Those Interested in Entering Graduate School
To gain admission to the Graduate School of Engineering (Master's, Doctoral, and Professional Degree Programs), you will need to take written and oral exams as part of the standard admission process. Additionally, we provide information regarding the entrance examinations specifically for international students who are generally residing overseas.

The Graduate School of Engineering accepts graduate research students who engage in specific research under the guidance of a faculty member. The research period is one year, and no academic credits can be earned during this time.

For Those Interested in Exchange Programs from Partner Universities
The University of Tokyo and the Graduate School of Engineering accept exchange students from partner universities with whom they have established agreements or memoranda of understanding. Based on these agreements and memoranda, exchange students are exempt from tuition fees.
