APCOM-ACCM Student Presentation Award

This award is presented to students delivering outstanding presentations at APCOM-ACCM.

About awarded research

This research explores the possibilities to use macroscopic diffusion equations to accelerate the convergence of conventional iterative schemes when solving the relaxation-type gas-kinetic equations under the framework of discrete velocity method.
Guan, K., Yamada, T., A Quick synthetic system for rarefied gas flows by solving the gas-kinetic equation, The 9th Asian Pacific Congress on Computational Mechanics (APCOM-ACCM2025), December 7-10, 2025, Brisbane, Australia, No.D2-2-1

Your impression & future plan

I feel surprised and honored to be presented this award. The search for efficient numerical methods in an ongoing quest. I would like to keep exploring the possibilities and extend by proposed methods to a broader range of problems.
