Lecture series for Junior and Senior High Schools: Ritsumeikan Keisho Junior & Senior High School

On 19 October 2023, a lecture was held for the first- and second-year students of Ritsumeikan Keisho Senior High School.

This comment was made by a first-year student: "I like chemistry and I had a vague idea that I wanted to become a researcher, but I found out that there are many laboratories in the Faculty of Engineering that can contribute to the world, so I am going to the Faculty of Engineering". Everyone nodded deeply at Dean Kato’s advice to a student’s question of "I keep working hard, yet I get lazy. I would like to do something about it": "If you can always think about doing something not only for yourself, but also for others, then you will feel empowered".

The lecture slides were able to show that the faculty members of the School of Engineering are doing the research they like and thinking about how they can be useful to society, and many questions were raised after the lecture was over. The lecture was a great success!
