"Learning from Nature for All" in Myoko City, Niigata prefecture held

For three days on 7-9 August 2023, an event called "Learning from Nature for All" was held at the National Myoko Youth Outdoor Learning Center in Myoko City, Niigata prefecture. Together with Professor Shinichi Nakasuka, Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Professor Hideaki Miyamoto, Department of Systems Innovation, and others, Dean Kato conducted various nature-experience activities and lectures for over 100 elementary and junior high school students who participated in the event from various regions across Japan.

This demonstration event, aimed at creating a new learning environment in which all children can participate in nature-experience activities, regardless of their environment and circumstances, was conducted as part of the Social Cooperation Program of Hulic Co., Ltd., and the School of Engineering, UTokyo, titled "Creation of Truly Inclusive Nature-based Education System".
