(Dean's log) "Learning from Nature for All 2024" held at UTokyo

For two days on 22-23 September 2024, an event called "Learning from Nature for All 2024" was held at the School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo.

This event was held as part of the Social Cooperation Program of Hulic Co., Ltd., and the School of Engineering, UTokyo, titled "Creation of Truly Inclusive Nature-based Education System ", with the aim of encouraging children's interest in and concern for the earth. The event was held for the second time, following the previous year.

Approximately 85 elementary school students in grades 1-4 and their parents participated in the event. They visited the Museum of Mineral Resources Frontier (MINERAFRONT), engaged in experiments on the mineral emissions and volcanic eruptions, and observed specimens of various insects, meteorites, and minerals.
