"Learning from Nature for All" held at UTokyo

For two days on 20-21 August 2023, an event called "Learning from Nature for All" was held at the School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo.

This event was held as part of the Social Cooperation Program of Hulic Co., Ltd., and the School of Engineering, UTokyo, titled "Creation of Truly Inclusive Nature-based Education System ", with the aim of encouraging children's interest in and concern for the earth.

Approximately 120 elementary school students in grades 1-4 and their parents participated in the event. They visited the Museum of Mineral Resources Frontier (MINERAFRONT), participated in the Mineral Observation Workshop, and took part in an experiment simulating the formation of a caldera volcano using cocoa powder and condensed milk.

Many questions were raised, and the children were very happy to receive mineral samples as gifts. It was an unforgettable and very productive event for the children who participated.
