The Rising Stars Women in Engineering Workshop (RSE) 2023

Asian Deans' Forum (ADF): The Rising Stars Women in Engineering Workshop (RSE) 2023, organized by the engineering departments of seven leading Asian universities, was held at the University of Tokyo's Hongo Campus from November 20 (Monday) to November 22 (Wednesday), 2023.

This workshop, primarily aimed at female doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, and young faculty members pursuing academic careers in the Asia-Pacific region, provided a platform for them to gather and engage in discussions regarding their research and career development. Following the workshops held at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2018, Seoul National University in 2019, and the University of New South Wales Sydney in 2022, the fourth edition of the workshop took place at HASEKO-KUMA HALL at the University of Tokyo's Hongo Campus.

The RSE program featured a plenary lecture by Professor Kyoko Nozaki from the School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, keynote sessions, and mentoring sessions conducted by faculty members from ADF member universities. Additionally, selected young female researchers delivered elevator pitches. For participants, it was a valuable opportunity to interact with and learn from accomplished female researchers actively contributing to their fields.
