IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society, Excellence in Technical Communication Student Prize Award
This award is presented as a recognition of the third prize winner in the three minutes thesis competition in 2024 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS 2024).
About awarded research
Y. Otsuka, R. Natsuaki and A. Hirose,
"Estimating accurate elevation through hypercomplex Fourier processing," IGARSS 2024, TIE14.3
In this work, we proposed a method to filter noise in interferometric synthetic aperture radar data by using an adaptive filter in the biquaternion Fourier domain. This method enables highly accurate estimation of elevation and deformation with high resolution.
Your impression & future plan
I am honored to receive this award. I'd like to thank my supervisors, Prof. Akira Hirose and Dr. Ryo Natsuaki, for their guidance.
