35th Discussion Group of Polymer Gels, Best Poster Presentation Award

This award is given by the Research Group on Polymer Gels in The Society of Polymer Science, to the presenter who has made a poster presentation at the Discussion Group of Polymer Gels, for their best presentation.

About awarded research

Takashi Yasuda, Naoyuki Sakumichi, and Takamasa Sakai, "Universal law of osmotic pressure in polymer gels"

In our organisms, many biomolecules are dissolved in water to exhibit the osmotic pressure everywhere in our living body. In this study, we revealed that the osmotic pressure of polymer gels utilized for biomedical applications is governed by the scaling law determined by the critical exponent.

Your impression & future plan

I am very honored to receive this prestigious award. I would like to continue to deepen my research on the physics of polymer gels and other soft matters.
