About awarded research

Title:Analysis of Area Setting in Subsidy Systems for Flood Damage Prevention
In response to the increasing risk of flooding in recent years, the "Subsidy Systems for Flood Damage Prevention" has been adopted as a supporting measure by governments to help residents prepare for flooding by themselves.
However, as this system is implemented on a municipal level, cases exist where the system has not been introduced at all, or where the areas eligible for systems differ from each municipality. This research delves into the background of the system's introduction and the rationale behind the designation of target areas based on the questionnaire survey.
The significance of this study is that it provides some implications for municipalities which are planning to introduce a system in the future / considering reviewing an existing system under the context of "River Basin Disaster Resilience and Sustainability by All", which encourages flood control measures by working together throughout the basin.
