Report on student visit from Saitama Prefectural Urawa High School

On 14 November 2023, a UTokyo Hongo Campus tour was organised for Saitama Prefectural Urawa High School.

The lecture was held at the Dream Lecture Hall in the Faculty of Engineering Bldg.5. Attendees gave feedback such as "I was interested to find out that engineering is related to many issues around us and that it can also lead to world peace" and "I was motivated to get involved in the research being carried out by engineering faculties". They also left this comment: "We now have a different image of engineering".

The lecture was very lively and the approximately 100 attendees all focused on Dean Kato’s stories when he was a student at Urawa High School himself, and what is most important to him as a researcher.
