This award is presented by the ICEC2022 Committee to young researchers who give outstanding poster presentations during the conference.

About awarded research
"Amorphous aluminosilicates as efficient ion exchangers for ammonium cations from aqueous solutions"
Ammonia species in environmental water is one of the major water pollutants that adversely affect aquatic ecosystems, and ion exchange using zeolites is one of the methods to remove such ammonia species. In this study, we found that ion exchangers similar to zeolites prepared by the coprecipitation method are cheaper than conventional zeolites and have high ion exchange capacity. We also demonstrated the high applicability to actual wastewater and the high reusability.
