<Award and explanation>The first place in 2018 Unmanned Solar-Boat Race at Biwa-lake

Students from Departments of Systems Innovation, Precision Engineering and Ocean Technology, Environment and Policy won the race in which they make an autonomous boat powered by solar cells run for the 20 km-course between Makino Sunny Beach and Chikubu Island. They designed, manufactured, and tested their boat in a course of Department of Systems Innovation.
