Research at SEUT
My research focused on evaluating the environmental impact and economic feasibility of decarbonization and hydrogen supply through the modification of petroleum refining plants.
Why I Chose SEUT
I majored in engineering as an undergraduate and wanted to pursue research that integrates engineering and management in graduate school. For this reason, I chose SEUT, where I could learn not only technology but also management perspectives.
Memorable Experiences
The most memorable aspect of my time at SEUT was the supportive and welcoming environment created by my professor, senior students, and classmates. During summer vacations, we traveled together to places such as Okinawa and Kanazawa, creating many wonderful memories. In addition to my studies, I thoroughly enjoyed life and culture in Japan. Looking back, the two years of my master's program were among the most fulfilling and rewarding years of my life.
Challenges and How I Overcame Them
Although I am currently working in Japan, job hunting was challenging at the time. I initially found it difficult to succeed in written examinations and interviews. To improve, I attended Japanese language classes and actively communicated with Japanese senior students. Through these efforts, I gradually improved both my language skills and interview performance. As a result, I became able to communicate my thoughts more effectively in Japanese and eventually secured employment in Japan.
Personal and Professional Growth
After enrolling at SEUT, I was greatly inspired by the creativity of my fellow students and their determination to work persistently toward their goals. Learning alongside them encouraged me to set ambitious goals for myself and take initiative in pursuing them. This experience continues to motivate me to seek growth in both my professional career and personal life.
Career Path
Since graduation, I have continued working at the same consulting firm. At the same time, I am preparing myself every day with the goal of eventually starting my own business.
