<About awarded research>

The developed nanonchannel whose inner cavity is fully covered with fluorine atoms possesses both high incompatibility with water and high durability to chemical compounds.  By applying this channel to the industrially utilized Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane, various fascinating properties such as more efficient water permeation capability, avoidance from pore clogging, and higher durability to contaminated compounds can be expected.  These properties could solve most of the existent problems of RO membrane.  In the presentation, I proposed the business plan that highlighted entering the RO membrane marketplace and an intention of achieving 10% share of the market within 10 years.
