“Best Poster Presentation Award”
It was given for the best poster presentation by student at AESJ Annual Meeting in spring, 2021.

About awarded research〉
Title: Development and analysis of melting-solidification model with MPFI method

For predicting the fuel debris distribution in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plants (1F NPPs), it is necessary to figure out the thermal-hydraulic behavior of the melted high-temperature material called corium. The authors introduced the melting-solidification model considering the phase change in the MPFI framework which can calculate the highly viscous material suitably and analyzed the fundamental experiments and the large-scale experiments carried out in France. A result was in good agreements with that of the experiment qualitatively and quantitatively and it was indicated that the present method has the potential to predict the corium behavior in 1F NPPs.

〈Your impression & future plan〉
I am honored to receive a prestigious award at this time. I would like to appreciate my supervisors Prof. Shunichi Suzuki, Prof. Koji Okamoto, and my cooperative researchers. I am going to be focusing on the research to contribute to decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi NPPs.
