Outstanding Poster Award at the 32nd Japanese Society for the Research of Hepatic Cells
This award is presented to outstanding research and poster presentations at this conference.
About awarded research
The research title is “Development of Hepatocyte Culture System Which Reproduces Physiological Energy Metabolism”.
Cultured hepatocytes are widely used for drug efficacy and toxicity assessment, as well as for disease modeling. However, accurate evaluation is often hindered by the non-physiological conditions of conventional culture systems. In this study, we developed a culture system which reproduces physiological hepatic metabolism by improving the culture environment to better mimic in vivo conditions. Our results suggest that this model has strong potential for application in the pharmaceutical field as an in vitro platform which reproduces in vivo hepatic metabolism.
Your impression & future plan
