On 11th July 2025, Assistant professor Takaki Akiba, Department of Mechanical Engineering , recieved JHPCN Exploratory Research Award.
JHPCN Exploratory Research Award
The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding projects from among the nascent collaborative research projects presented at the JHPCN Symposium, which brings together research projects utilizing large-scale computers, and to encourage them to advance to future publicly solicited collaborative research projects. This year, one project was recognized with the award.
About awarded research
The method was presented for describing nonlinear problems as linear problems in an attempt to create simulation methods for reacting flow using quantum computers.
Your impression & future plan
I am very honored to receive this award. I will continue conducting research on acceleration methods for reactive fluid analysis using quantum computers, with the aim of contributing to the analysis of nonlinear problems and the resolution of energy issues.
