"Assessing the Impact of Generated Text on Investment Decisions: Insights from Amateurs and Professionals"
This study analyzes the differential impact of large language model (LLM)-generated text on investment decision-making between amateur investors and financial experts. The results reveal that amateurs are significantly more susceptible to the influence of LLM-generated content compared to experts. Moreover, emotionally charged or assertive expressions were found to have the potential to alter the behavior of experts as well. The study also observed cases where decision-making quality declined due to LLM output, highlighting the importance of ethical and social responsibility in the future design of large language models.
