International Water Association (IWA) - Health Related Water Micobology (HRWM) Willie Grabow Young Investigator Award
This award recognizes an emerging researcher who is conducting outstanding research on microorganisms in the field of health-related water microbiology (HRWM), presented at the biennial international symposium of the HRWM Specialist Group of the International Water Association.
About awarded research
Dr. Torii has conducted research on the occurrence of health-related microorganisms in urban water systems and on elucidating the mechanisms of microbial dynamics by exploring the interdisciplinary area between environmental engineering and molecular biology.
Your impression & future plan
I am deeply humble and honored to receive the prestigious IWA-HRWM Willi Grabow Award. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved, especially the members of the Department of Urban Engineering, for their continuous support and collaboration.
Moving forward, I aim to further advance my research on the dynamics and persistence mechanisms of health-related microorganisms in aquatic environments, with the goal of gaining greater international recognition as a researcher.
