An award ceremony was held for the Breakthrough Prize awarded to Professor Hidetoshi Katori

 

LOS ANGELES – On Saturday, April 13, 2024, an award ceremony was held for the Breakthrough Prize awarded to Professor Hidetoshi Katori of the Department of Applied Physics, Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo. The Breakthrough Prizes were founded by Sergey Brin, Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg, Julia and Yuri Milner, and Anne Wojcicki, recognizes the research achievements of the world’s top scientists in the fields of Life Sciences, Fundamental Physics and Mathematics each year.The award ceremony for Professor Katori, who received the award in Fundamental Physics in 2022, has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
