At UbiComp 2013, prof. Kawahara presented a method to prototype circuits using a household inkjet printer loaded with silver nano-ink. At the time, they received the Best Paper Award. A decade after the presentation, their work is still recognized for its sustained impact, and as a result, they've been honored with the 10-year impact award.

 

Your impression & future plan

Our research journey had its bumps in the beginning, yet with our colleagues' unwavering support, we managed to share our discoveries as a research paper. Since we introduced it, a broad spectrum of people has valued our work both in academic and social context. I'm profoundly thankful to all who've stood by our side and assisted us throughout these 10 years. We remain committed to advancing studies that resonate both in academia and the wider community going forward.
