Zefan Sramek (D2), Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems, Yatani Lab received the Best Demo Award at the ACM Designing Interactive Systems 2023 conference held in Pittsburgh, USA from July 10th to 14th, 2023.

DIS23 BEST Demo Award

This award is given to the best demonstration, as judged by two proctors, at the demo session at the DIS23 conference.

About awarded research

The award was given for the demo of our system SoundTraveller, a prototype device for supporting musicians' explorations with timbre for synthesizers.

Your impression & future plan

I'm very honored to receive this award and see that our work has made an impact beyond just the music community, also inspiring broader HCI research. In the future, I hope to keep investigating into the aspects of shared agency that we incovered in our studies with SoundTraveller.
