The Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics Team “ATMAN” won the first place of the general division in the 10th All Japan Student's Indoor Flying Robot Contest 2014, held at Ota-City General Gymnasium on September 27-28.

In this student contest organized by Japan Society of Aeronautical and Space Sciences, the participants compete to accomplish missions such as dropping a rescue package from a small unmanned aerial vehicle designed and built by the team members themselves. UTokyo team also won the last two year’s first place award.
