On 13th March 2018, Kohei Oyama (Master's Course), Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems, received IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Japan Chapter Young Researcher Award (2017) at the Technical Committee on NC which is dealing with a wide range of subjects related to neurocomputing.

I was elected as one of eight excellent young researchers from many presenters in Technical Committee on NC which is dealing with a wide range of subjects related to neurocomputing.

<About awarded research>

Paper “Singular-Point Compensation in Polarimetric-Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar System” This paper proposes a filtering method to adaptively compensate SPs by using polarization and phase information around the SPs in interferogram obtained by interferometric synthetic aperture radar, and shows that the proposed filter compensates SPs effectively even in situations where conventional methods deteriorate in their performance.
