Best Poster Presentation Award
This award is given to students who have made outstanding poster presentation at the 9th Asian Particle Technology Symposium.
About awarded research
Title "Numerical simulation on a capacity control in a rotary tablet press"
Rotary tablet presses are essential for the large-scale production of pharmaceutical tablets, and it is well known that the powder die-filling process during the press is crucial for maintaining the quality of the manufactured pharmaceuticals. However, detailed observation of the behavior of powder inside the press is challenging, and the dynamics of the powder during the die-filling process, as well as the influence of the gas phase, remain unexplored. In this study, we simulated the powder die-filling process to elucidate its mechanisms. These findings are expected to contribute to the optimization of rotary tablet press processes.
