About awarded research
L. Huang, Y. Yoshida, and Y. Long presented "Residential Sustainable Diet Index Evaluation based on Household Consumption Survey in Japan" at the Global Cleaner Production Conference (GCPC), held on November 12, 2023, in Shanghai, China.Their research contributes to transforming diets towards balancing 'planetary health' and 'human health.' It combines environmental extended input-output analysis for environmental assessment with nutritional epidemiology. The study proposes a diet that satisfies daily nutritional needs while reducing CO2 emissions originating from the food supply chain.
