<Name of award and short explanation about the award>
“Research Encouragement Prize of the Division of SIS at SCEJ 52nd Autumn Meeting”
This award is presented to individual young speakers of general lectures who are expected to contribute significantly to the future development of the fields of science and technology and industry, and who have made oral presentations worthy of the award.

<About awarded research>
In industrial manufacturing of human induced pluripotent stem (hiPS) cells, it is necessary to transport and store a large number of cells in a frozen state. However, it has been reported that hiPS cells are easily damaged by cryopreservation, and standardization of the cryopreservation process is urgently needed. In this work, a new hybrid model was developed that can comprehensively consider the entire cryopreservation process. The model enables to determine process parameters directly related to productivity, such as cooling rate, vial diameter, and thawing temperature. The results of this work are expected to contribute to the standardization of the cryopreservation process.

<Your impression & future plan>
With the huge support of Prof. Hirokazu Sugiyama and the laboratory members, I am very happy to receive this award. I would like to continue to devote myself to my research.
