Research summary

The basic philosophy of Ishida Laboratory is to contribute to the sustainable development of society through social infrastructure facilities (infrastructure) using concrete, a material of society. Today, infrastructure lifespan estimation and maintenance strategies, performance design and earthquake disaster prevention, and environmentally friendly infrastructure development are urgent issues. The core technology we are developing to meet these multiple requirements is a multi-scale analysis system for cement materials and reinforced concrete structures that integrates substances, materials, and structures. Furthermore, we are currently working on the development of completely new infrastructure design, construction, and maintenance technologies that integrate the rapidly developing digital and simulation technologies.
