<About awarded research>

The paper "Design of Thin Film Antenna for Soil Sensor with Big-Roll Method Leveraged Installation" (in Japanese)
won Paper Award and Young Researcher Award (for under the age of 30 who did the winning presentation) in Multimedia, Distributed, Cooperative, and Mobile Symposium (DICOMO2018) by IPSJ.

We propose a soil sensor that can be installed at the same time as replacing the lawn at the football stadium. In the awarded paper, we evaluated the characteristics of the thin-film antenna constituting the proposed soil sensor in the soil, and found that the thin film with better transmission characteristics than the antenna used in the demonstration experiment under the assumed moisture content condition of the soil I designed an antenna.

<Comments>
We will continue to conduct demonstration experiments for practical application in the future.
