On 28th February 2017, Shunya Ariga (M2), Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems, wins a Student Paper Award at IPSJ SIGMUS committee.

IPSJ SIGMUS committee selects most promising student papers (except authored by PhD students).Top two papers received Student Paper Award.

Strummer: An Interactive System for Guitar Chord Practice
Abstract: Strummer is an interactive multimedia system for guitar practice. Strummer provide a data-driven and personalized practice materials for learners in order to identify important and easy-to-learn chords and songs. This practice design is intended to encourage smooth skill transfers to songs that learners even have not seen.
