Title: Structural insight into inhibition of homophilic dimerization mediated by cell adhesion protein P-cadherin utilizing a small molecule ligand

P-cadherin is a cell adhesion protein expressed in cancer cells. This protein is related to cancer metastasis, so a molecular targeting drug to inhibit the function of P-cadherin is in high demand. In our research, we identified a small molecule regulator of P-cadherin function for the first time in the world and elucidated its inhibitory mechanism using X-ray crystal structure analysis.
