Noboru Itouyama (D3), Department of Chemical System Engineering, received the Award of Society, Japan Explosive Society. The award is presented to young researchers, which contributed to explosive science or technology and reported their results in Science and Technology of Energetic Materials or Explosion.

<About awarded research>
This study investigated the new experimental analysis method of chemical reactions on the catalytic decomposition of monopropellant based on high energetic salts. The results could contribute to the exploration of catalytic reaction mechanism of the monopropellant and high-cycle developments of actual thrusters.

<Your impression & future plan>

I am honored to get such a great award. I wish to thank our lab members in ISAS/JAXA and authorized researchers. I will endeavor to expand my knowledge of space engineering and chemical engineering more.
