Report of seminar by Mr. William Magwood, OECD/NEA Director-General

On April 14^th (Tue), 2015, an English seminar by Mr. William Magwood, OECD/NEA Director-General, was held at the Sanjo Conference Hall located at the Hongo Campus of the University of Tokyo. After the opening address by the Dean, the seminar entitled “International Perspective on Nuclear Energy and the Role of OECD/NEA” attracted 87 participants, filling the conference room with full of enthusiasms.  About 10 students actively asked questions during Q&A session, which proved 40 minutes was not long enough for them.

This seminar hosted by School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo, turned out to be a meaningful event where young generations with their own ideas on what we should do in the 21^st century while facing global warming exchanged opinions with the expert from the international organization.
