< About awarded research >

In this study, we have controlled the epitaxial strain in the thin films to induce a coupling effect of the flexoelectric polarization and magnetic polarization. We have succeeded in enhancing the magnetic resonance frequency from 10 GHz to approximately 400 GHz in the strained thin films of rare earth iron garnets. The results will be utilized in the enhancement of signal intensity and calculation speed of spintronic and magnonic devices.
