Hiroki Arazoe in the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, won a SPSJ Annual Meeting Poster Award.
<About awarded research>
Graphitic carbon nitride (GCN) has recently attracted wide research interest due to its metal-free catalytic activities. Despite its promising potential for ubiquitous materials, the application of GCN has been severely limited to heterogeneous catalysts because GCN is available only as insoluble powder. I have successfully developed a highly ordered GCN thin film by easily method.
I expect our anisotropic GCN film can be widely utilized as new carbon material.
