〈Award-winning research and activities〉
For pioneering theoretical work formulating novel phases of non-equilibrium quantum matter, including time crystals

〈Future aspirations and thoughts〉
It is a great honor to receive this prestigious award. I am very happy to receive recognition for the results of thinking this through, and am encouraged to continue my research. The research for which I received this award was conducted when I was still a graduate student studying at the University of California, Berkeley. Now that I am a faculty member in charge of a research group, I will do my best every day in both research and education to produce even better research results from our group. When conducting this research, the Honjo International Scholarship Foundation (https://www.hisf.or.jp) scholarship I was awarded enabled me to reduce my TA workload and concentrate on my research. I would like to express my gratitude once again.
