Professor Takuzo Aida was elected as an International Member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences

The Royal Academy of Arts and Sciences, founded in 1808, specializes in the promotion of science and literature in the Netherlands. It hosts awards, such as the Lorenz Medal and the Leuwenhook Medal for Microbiology.
Once elected, a candidate becomes a lifetime member. Candidates are recommended by individuals and organizations outside the Academy and are selected based on their published scientific achievements. Therefore, being a member is a great honor.

This time, 20 new members (2 from overseas) were elected. Professor Aida was elected as one of the new overseas members.
