Japanese Language Class of the School of Engineering「IKEBANA Demonstration」

On November 8th, the JLCSE hosted an ikebana demonstration by the Headmaster of the Ichiyo School of Ikebana. Mr. Kasuya, the headmaster, arranged flowers in four styles (upright style, slanting style, flat style, and hanging style) and created one taisaku (large-scale ikebana arrangement). Participating students from various countries were fascinated by the dynamic ikebana performance; a shared opportunity for relaxation. We hope the experience created an interest in ikebana among the international students.
We truly appreciate all the work and assistance provided by Mr. Kasuya and the members of the Ichiyo School of Ikebana.
