On 12th November 2015, Mr. Naoki Sakashita, a 1st graduate student Department of Applied Chemistry, wins a CSJ Poster Presentation Award 2015 for Excellent Research.

Aquaporin is a channel protein transporting water in a cell membrane in our body. This protein does not transport proton but water exclusively.
I elucidated the mechanism using the molecular dynamics simulation and quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics (QM/MM) method in this study.

I feel really honored for this award. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Prof. Hiroshi Ishikita, Lecturer Keisuke Saito,
Assistant Prof. Hiroshi Watanabe, and our lab members for all their support. Protein has a great beautiful mechanism. I want to make an
effort and tell the beauty of protein.
