< About awarded research >
In cancer medications, it is important to specifically deliver the medicine to tumor sites. It was previously found that poly(2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine) (PMPC), zwitterionic polymer, was selectively accumulated in tumor. In this research, we further evaluated the polymer structure–tumor accumulation relationship to reveal important physicochemical factors for efficient tumor accumulation of zwitterionic polymers.
