<Name of award and short explanation about the award>

PIERS 2018 Best Student Paper Award 1st Prize
I was elected as the 1st prize winner in the selection of the best award from many student papers in PIERS which is a major international conference of electromagnetics.

<About awarded research(activity)>
Paper “Singular-point Generating Mechanisms Based on the Correlations among the Parameters in Coherency Matrix and Those in the Optimized Scattering-mechanism Vector in PolInSAR”
This paper elucidates the generation mechanisms of singular points (SPs) by investigating the relationship between the phase distortion and the polarization state in polarimetric interferometric synthetic aperture radar(PolInSAR).

< Your impression & future plan>
It is my great honor to receive this award. I would like to thank my supervisor, Prof. Akira Hirose.
