On October 23-24, 2024, the 7th joint workshop was held between the University of Tokyo and the Stockholm Trio (Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Karolinska Institutet (KI), and Stockholm University (SU)), with which the University of Tokyo has a strategic partnership university agreement. The plenary session was held in a hybrid format, with the University of Tokyo meeting at HASEKO-KUMA Hall and the Swedish side meeting at KI. Ambassador Viktoria Li, the Swedish Ambassador to Japan attended the HASEKO-KUMA Hall and gave opening remarks. More than 200 participants (including online participants) attended the workshop in Sweden and Tokyo. Collaboration between the institutions is expected to develop even more significantly in the future.
