Tetsuki Nakakura "Exploring new architectural possibilities from both academic and practical perspectives"

Written by Public Relations Office | Jun 27, 2024 1:00:00 AM

My aspiration for architecture began in junior high school, leading me to pursue a degree in the Department of Architecture. After completing my major in architecture, I gained practical experience through internships in Rotterdam and Paris and started my professional career with a general contractor in Japan. While deepening my practical knowledge, I came to realize my desire to reflect on architecture as an academic discipline, which motivated me to enter a doctoral program.

Currently, I serve as an assistant professor of design at the university while also managing my own first-class architectural firm. Through various projects, the essential value of architecture is being explored, traversing the realms of academia and practice.
