Professor Kyoko Nozaki has been selected to receive the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Award

Professor Kyoko Nozaki of the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology has been selected to receive the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Award.

Created in 1998, L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Awards honor the achievements of five women scientists from five regions of the world each year for their contributions to the progress of science, by presenting them with an award certificate and a cash prize. With awards for the fields of life sciences and physical sciences alternating every other year, a committee of internationally renowned experts selects the five laureates. Five previous L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Laureates have received the Nobel Prize. Professor Nozaki, the seventh award winner from Japan, will be honored in the field of materials science at the Award Ceremony held in Paris in June 2021.
