Emeritus Professor Shigehiko Kaneko received the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers honorary member of Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers

 

On 18th April 2019, Emeritus Professor Shigehiko Kaneko, Department of Mechanical Engineering, received the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers honorary member of Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers.

This title is given to those who have made significant contributions to the achievement of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers and are notable achi evements in mechanical science.

 

 

<About awarded research>

Professor Kaneko contributed to the development of mechanical engineering through research and educational activities such as activities as the president of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (the 90th term), the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers Paper Award for Flow Induced Vibration and Engine Control Research (3 times), and the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers Education Award for PBL education on small distributed energy systems.
