Yuki Imakura,Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, wins a CSJ Poster Presentation Award 2015 for Excellent Research

On 12th November 2015, Mr. Yuki Imakura, a 1st graduate student Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, wins a CSJ Poster Presentation Award 2015 for Excellent Research.

In vivo molecular analysis contributes to the understanding of life phenomena and the diagnosis of diseases. Especially, hyperpolarized MR technique is a promising modality for in vivo molecular analysis. However, there is a limitation derived from short hyperpolarization lifetime. In this study, we explored the molecular structure with long hyperpolarization lifetime and succeeded in developing the molecule with much longer hyperpolarization lifetime. Then, this molecule could be converted to molecular sensor for analyzing biomolecules.
