<About awarded research>

N-Substituted anilines are valuable compounds frequently utilized in various areas, and the development of novel synthetic procedures of them is an important research subject. In this study, we developed novel tandem oxidative aromatization routes to N-substituted anilines. Supported gold–palladium alloy nanoparticles on Al2O3 (Au-Pd/Al2O3) could catalyze (1) the tandem oxidative aromatization of cyclohexylamines into N-cyclohexylanilines utilizing air as an hydrogen acceptor and (2) the oxidative aromatization of cyclohexanones and amines into various N-substituted anilines utilizing styrene as an hydrogen acceptor. These reactions are expected as widely appreciable synthetic methods for N-substituted anilines.
